Background
The EIA Association commits itself particularly in the advancement of young academics in environmental planning. Therefore, the Young Forum offers a new platform to focus all promotion activities as a service by the EIA Association. It supports young people interested in the fields of spatial environmental planning and environmental assessment. It adresses itself both to members of the association and to non-members, who want to join an active network of young environmental planners. The EIA Association, thus, also aims at attracting new members. Hence, we are very pleased to welcome new members who want to contribute to the activities of the association. In doing so, everybody may benefit from the various opportunities through networking, professional work, and career management. We are convinced: It pays off!
Offers of the Young Forum to members of the EIA Association
- The Young Forum offers various information concerning all questions of spatial environmental planning and environmental assessment, both national and international
- Using a list server and other tools under construction, the Young Forum offers opportunities to exchange experience and information with experts from science and research, planning practice and competent authorities
- The journal “UVP-report” informs about recent trends
- The Young Forum fosters contacts between universities and consultancies, which may be helpful in launching your career
- The members may to participate in meetings of regional and special interest groups. Volunteer involvement in the EIA Association is likely to open doors for your career.
- The Young Forum provides interdisciplinary work: planners, natural scientists, social scientists, lawyers and other professionals are collaborating under its umbrella.
- The EIA Association exchanges of information with other environmental associations as well as professional bodies.
