Regional groups coordinate the activities in the Länder and serve als regional forums for information exchange. They shall be oriented on Länder borders. Member of a regional group are those members of the association whose address lies within the borders of the group.

The following regional groups (LGs) of the EIA-association exist at the moment:

• LG Hessen/Rheinland-Pfalz/Saarland
• LG Niedersachsen/Bremen
